To get the best out of your candle please follow these steps:
- The first burn of the candle is the most important, if the wax is not allowed to melt to the edge of the jar/tin on the first burn then a “memory ring” will form, once a candle has a memory ring it will continue to burn that way for the rest of the candles life. The first burn should be 3-4 hours
- After every burn check the wick length and keep it trimmed to 5mm usually after every 3 hours of burn time, make sure you let the wax cool down first before trimming and relighting. Trimming the wick can be done with small nail scissors but ideally with wick trimmers, no candle user should be without a pair!
- Discontinue use of the candle when there is 1.25 cm in the bottom of jar to avoid damage and overheating of the container
Always make sure that the candle is placed on a heat resistant surface, away from draughts, children and animals
Never leave candles unattended or go to sleep with a lit candle in your bedroom
- Always store your candle at room temperature and away from bright natural light for extended periods of time as this could lead to discolouration and deterioration of the scent
